Recently, Hartono Gan paid another visit to Luxehouze Jakarta. This time, the designer took the opportunity to explore the Rolex collection at Luxehouze and select his favorite pieces.

Hartono Gan’s Top Rolex Picks 

Initially, Hartono Gan shortlisted three Rolex watches from the boutique’s display. However, from these selections, he ultimately decided to take home the Datejust 36 126234 Green Palm Jubilee. 

Among collectors, this watch is often referred to as the “Jungle Datejust” due to its green dial and intricately engraved palm leaf motif. 

The palm leaf design is crafted using laser technology, showcasing varying shades of green. While the engraving might appear subtle, it exudes beauty when it catches the light. Notably, Hartono Gan acquired the Datejust with Rolex’s signature Jubilee bracelet.

In 2024, Rolex announced that the Datejust Green Palm Jubilee would officially be discontinued. This has made the watch a rare find, difficult to obtain elsewhere but still available at Luxehouze.

Other Rolex Watches at Luxehouze Boutique

Before settling on the Rolex Datejust Green Palm Jubilee, Hartono Gan also browsed through the Rolex collection available at the boutique, such as the Oyster Perpetual 36 126000 Tiffany Celebration and the Datejust 36 126234VIIX Pink Jubilee. 

1. Datejust 36 126234VIIX Pink Jubilee

This timepiece was considered by Hartono Gan due to its Jubilee bracelet, similar to the one on the Datejust Green Palm he chose. Essentially, the Jubilee bracelet design is his favorite among Rolex watches. 

“I always create a storyline in my collections. For Rolex, I always love the Jubilee because it looks like jewelry,” he explained. 

This watch comes in a 36mm case size with a pink dial. The hour markers are Roman numerals made of 18-karat gold. The dial is also adorned with 24 diamonds arranged around it. 

Rolex employs a sunray-finished technique on the dial, providing a shimmering effect and aesthetic appeal when exposed to light.

2. Oyster Perpetual 36 126000 Tiffany Celebration

Oyster Perpetual 36 126000 Tiffany Celebration is a special edition watch available in limited quantities. 

True to its name, this watch boasts a unique blue color that is quite popular in the world of timepieces. This blue hue resembles the iconic Tiffany & Co. color, hence the inclusion of ‘Tiffany’ in its name. 

Beyond its color, the uniqueness of this watch is also evident in its dial motif. The blue dial is combined with a mix of vibrant colors like yellow, orange, white, and green. 

“This is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual, but it has a confetti motif on the dial. The special point is its Tiffany Blue color,” noted Hartono Gan.

While both the Oyster Perpetual 36 126000 Tiffany Celebration and the Datejust 36 126234VIIX Pink Jubilee are equally appealing, Hartono Gan ultimately chose the Rolex Datejust Green Palm Jubilee.
