The year 2025 marks a special moment for Vacheron Constantin as it celebrates 270 years of horological history. To commemorate this milestone, the Swiss brand released its latest timepiece, the Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin. This model is not just an addition to its sport-luxury line, but a representation of how Vacheron Constantin combines the tradition of complex complications with a modern design that fits everyday wear.

As part of the 270th anniversary celebration, Vacheron Constantin presents this new Overseas with the Caliber 1120 QP/1, a legendary ultra-thin perpetual calendar movement. Some of its key specifications include:

  • Movement thickness: 4.05 mm
  • Number of components: 276 parts
  • Frequency: 19,800 vph (2.75 Hz)
  • Power reserve: ±40 hours
  • Rotor: 22K gold oscillating weight with the signature Overseas compass rose decoration

This movement is capable of displaying the date, day, month, leap year, and moon phase until the year 2100 without adjustment. Such technical innovation reinforces Vacheron Constantin’s long-standing legacy in the field of complications.

Beyond its slim movement, the watch also comes with a stainless steel case measuring 41.5 mm in diameter and only 8.1 mm thick, making it one of the slimmest perpetual calendars in the sport-luxury class. Its water resistance of up to 50 meters ensures functionality for daily wear.

In line with the Overseas DNA, this latest model features an interchangeable strap system. Each unit comes with a stainless steel bracelet, leather strap, and rubber strap, all of which can be swapped without tools. This feature provides flexibility to switch styles as needed, from sporty to formal.

Although designed with a sporty character, its high-level finishing remains intact. The Geneva Seal-certified movement showcases refined decorations such as perlage, Côtes de Genève, and manual beveling. The case and bracelet are also finished with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces, adding premium accents without being excessive.

Released to commemorate 270 years of Vacheron Constantin, the new Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin is not just a celebration of the Maison’s long history but also a reaffirmation of its position in the high-complication sport-luxury segment. With a combination of ultra-thin movement, complete complication, high-end finishing, and design flexibility, this watch stands as one of the most important releases in Vacheron Constantin’s milestone anniversary year.
